HISC 113: History of Capitalism: This course surveys major developments in the capitalist world economy, from the 13th century to today. Topics include: noncapitalist modes of production and exchange; transitions to capitalism in late medieval and early modern Europe; the evolution of banking and finance; colonization, slavery and uneven development; industrialization; and globalization.
