Research Interests

I am researching the emergence of right-wing populist ideas within the historical context of post-postwar capitalism, a period typically described as “neoliberalism.” I am specifically interested in understanding right-wing populist ideas among working class subjects without relying upon insufficient concepts, such as false-consciousness or enculturation, in my analysis. I contend that taking right-emergent wing populist ideas seriously calls into question typical periodizations, substantive emphases, and conceptual content associated with ideas of “neoliberalism."
