Professor Emeritus, Jim Clifford, has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences!
CAMBRIDGE, MA – Some of the world’s most accomplished leaders from academia, business,
public affairs, the humanities, and the arts have been elected members of the American
Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Jim Clifford, the noted "ethnographic historian," will be inducted into the academy in October along with the likes of Dave Brubeck, Ken Burns, Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, and two other UCSC colleagues: Jim Zachos (Earth & Planetary Sciences) and Tom Banks (Physics).
